Introducing your newest addiction! Fresh, easy, and the perfect touch of sweet. These strawberry jam bites are a great addition to your weekly meal prep or for when you have a sweet tooth. Balanced with chia seeds and strawberries, these bites offer more nutrition than your average jam including fiber, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs daily.
**There are two ways to store these based on your preference: in the freezer and in the fridge. You will have to tweak the steps to make them depending on what you do.
Check out how to make them below!
Strawberry Jam Bites
1 pack of strawberries
1-2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice (about 1/4 of a lemon)
¼ cup water
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 package of chocolate
Mold Container (Optional)
Directions:
Clean and cut strawberries into small pieces. Turn stove to medium heat and add strawberries to a pot.
Add in honey, vanilla, lemon juice, water, and chia seeds. Mix well to combine and let it come to a simmer. Use spatula to break down big strawberry pieces.
If you aren't using molds, once simmering, set in the fridge to cool and thicken (about 20 minutes). This will make the bites easier to scoop.
Use a piece of parchment paper or molds and begin to spoon out jam into individual servings. Place in freezer until solid (about an hour).
While the jam sets, melt chocolate.
Once jam bites are solid, coat in chocolate and store in the fridge or freezer. Enjoy!
